Many of us will go on with our daily lives without thinking there may be a day in our future when we ourselves -- or someone we love -- will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Every nine seconds someone dies of breast cancer. Having said that, my life was changed dramatically on my 31st birthday. We received news that my mother had breast cancer and would soon be going in for surgery. The unknown was the worst part for me personally.
Do you have someone in your life, or know of someone, that has either lost their battle to Breast Cancer or is a Survivor? We’re asking for help in raising money for awareness and a cure for this ugly disease. On May 7, 2011 my family and I will be participating in the walk “Race for the Cure” (Susan G. Komen The Fight for Breast Cancer) in honor of my mother, Shauna Fish. We are looking for people who would be willing to share in donating monies, i.e., pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, or any amount will help. Our goal is to raise $500.00 by May 1, 2011.
